There are two kinds of watches, one is quartz watch, the other is mechanical watch. Although the production of mechanical watches is low, but the value is very important, mechanical watches account for 75% of the total value of the watch industry.
Quartz watch
The core of a quartz watch contains an integrated circuit. Under the action of electric energy supplied by the battery, the quartz oscillator vibrates, dividing the time. The power supply is a small battery that can last several years. The quartz oscillator converts the battery's energy into vibrations to divide time.
Due to the high frequency of vibration (32 kHz), quartz watches are extremely accurate, with very low annual error: less than one minute per year, or less than one second per day.

Mechanical watch
A standard mechanical watch has about 130 components, which are assembled in three groups: the power source, the control unit and the display section. Watches with complex functions (timing, calendar, lunar phase, reset needle, etc.) naturally have more components. The gear train transmits the energy supplied by the spring. The escapement transmits the pulse and the balance wheel divides the time. The rotor is tightened by manual or automatic tightening of the spring.
